it's a UFO case

The heavy machines are all laid down and once again Paris became for one week the center of the world (or maybe I should say the universe?! nah I'm over reacting... no I'm not. the universe it is.) cause as you know, the houte couture shows for spring 11 has been set out which made my lower lip go down and down (and hit the table somewhere between Armani and Chanel...). I thought that as befits to a blog who discuss the utmost importance of fashion, mention this milestone event is kind of necessary. My first idea was talking about it by the chronological time method (b-o-r-i-n-g + I'm too tired from work) than I thought maybe do it by favorites order (less boring but still... too tired from work) and than I came up with this...
 An ode to this:
Yes, I admit, there was something inspiring in those futuristic, look like backstage liquid explosion (on the way too much good way of course), runway looks. My hands simply couldn't stay quiet in front of these Philip Treacy spaceship hats. Together with the generous help of the brain, they (by "they" I mean hands and brain. I really should stop anthropomorphize my body parts) create my own Armani couture plate hat. Wants one too?! Just follow those easy breezy steps:

1. Make a Chinese hat from A4 paper piece like you did in kindergarten
2. Wrap it with an aluminum foil
3. Paint it with a metallic acrylic color (purple and blue will give the best effect)
4. Attach a rubber band under

Evualá, you have space station on your had (delight!)

when that's not it

H&M red bow, Hanes white T, thrifted sparkly blue top, floral red skirt from some department store in South Africa, Rupa net blue tights and united nude grey flats.
I have a problem and I think it's the right time to put all of it on the table. Being honest is sometimes hard and doesn't always feel like the right thing at the moment but in retrospect it can do only good. So, I'm gonna spill it. I... am ...a... onetimeclothsgirl. Yes, yes you have red it alright (or in case you haven't understand I will repeat it more slowly, an o-n-e t-i-m-e c-l-o-t-h-s g-i-r-l) I have some enormous problem wearing the same cloths for the same population. And don't think that it comes from a spoiled bad habit, because I think it doesn't, it's just something unconscious like some rejection vibe from the garment. I know it's a bad habit and i know it should stop but unfortunately it's stronger than me. And how for heaven's sake this guilty plea relates to those innocent photos? Well, those photos represent a classic case of "not feeling it" outfit (I don't know why, but "not feeling it" constantly associated to me with spirit fingers, I'm weird, i know). This time it might be the white T that I wear under too many summer tops, that succeed in destroying all.
My conclusion from this whole thoughtful post is that i need to do a clean off to my closet to make a room for some new friends...

it might be your last feast

Sounds ominous when I read the headline all over again, but just couldn't find more fitting line than this one right above.  Well, I will start to explain myself with a short nostalgic story (Now everybody do a gentle circle neck move to the right, you know, because it's the flashback side...) . Back than in the days when I was very little (not just little like now days) I had a book that showed all the living creatures on earth. I don't remember most of its contents (except from the lutras part that I remember myself graving for one that will swim in a pool that I will build in my room) but there was one very (very) remarkable page that I remember clearly, the one with all kinds of cockroaches. I remember myself asking from someone else to page for me because of the chill that came when I just thought about touching it. If you got this far at what sounds like part of my upcoming biography first i applaud you and second I will encourage you by saying that it wasn't for nothing. The reason I'm telling you this story from my not so far childhood (I mean, I'm only nineteen) is because of this foldedpigs cup and plate that I met on etsy.
First thing that cross my mind when saw them was this harsh flashback of me meeting these unforgettable "crawling insects" page. In this point you probably think to yourself why am I devoting such a tremendous post airtime to this pointless story. Well I tell you why. After I saw those two spine-tingling items it scratched my curiosity cell and that led me to have a look at rest of the store where I actually found more "eatable from" dishes (for my opinion at least) and pretty witty too (just got what I was writing, pretty witty pretty witty pretty witty pretty witty, ok I'll stop).
Well I don't mind to eat my heart out with those, so bone appétit!

its ok, I got my winter mood

In a world where the pre fall collections of this year are already has been shown to the crowed I think I might be in some serious delay! But I don't let this situation freak me out, every person and his own progression (which in my case the progression moving like a real fat turtle with broken legs and brain injury). So after we settled everything lets all together do refresh (DONT push the refresh button for real! come on, use your imagination) and start all over again.
Hi!!
I have to say that I'm amazed every time how my outfit reflects on my thoughts and feelings. Only after I shout those photos and looked at them when uploading to my pc i reached to the unequivocal conclusion that winter is here. I think the combination between all those winter-ish ingredients (the gloomy and chill that popping out from the second pics collection, the fur that makes you want to snuggle, this "see through" umbrella and it can goes on and on) that led me to these rainy thoughts.

Fur coat that my grandma bought in Germany, pants also from my grandma, purple top from urban outfitters, fuchsia tights from American apparel with sheer white tights on them, gap flats, mango belt and I kick shins atomic turquoise hair extensions

Wearing flower kimono from China, basic stripes t from gap, plaid tights that are gift from family friends, clear flats from Barcelona and holding Sout Africa's Woolworth umbrella
With your permission I'll now leave to the hearth.

when draft comes alive

My last (but definitely not least) creation in sewing class is finally ready! It is such a relief mixed with satisfaction kind of feeling when finishing every sewing project.
What starts as a draft while having some boring moments at work (yes, the fashionary isn't just sitting on the top shelf in my room)

came out to this. dont know why i look so disapointed, one thing is for sure, it wasnt becouse of the pants that i actually cant take my eyes of them (!!)
At first I thought wearing it with this no name denim dress, irregular choice sneakers, some improvised jacket made out of black scarf and thrifted silver chain necklace. But although it looked pretty fine by me (and I loved how the colors of the close-up photo came out) it was a bit uncomfortable (it was squeezing in the waist and too short for the cold weather that ran outside and yada yada bla bla bla). And I know that some will say that for beauty you need to sacrifice your comfo but I don't care. So I changed in to plan B

Which was much more comfortable! So if everyone were happy I was ready to hit the town (or bring some onions for my mother soup-always have to be so petty) wearing my mom jacket and Zara white shirt.

For the record I think that I could get more classic look wearing something  like those black oxfords that were belong to my brother when he just learn how to walk (Wiping a "memories from the past" tear from the side of my left eye. or not).

If they only were ten times bigger (or I was a ten times smaller?! Nah...)

etsying the web

In my office, every day that someone doesn't show up I get the honor of sitting in the empty chair. An empty chair means a spare computer and a spare computer means browse all day long. Since everything is pretty much locked there (because of security and yada yada) I had to find alternative to some of the things, one of them was start see what can I find on etsy when i get board (yes, I confess, I fell for the etsy). I found myself every day come back home with a list of something like gazillion stores that I want to put on my favorites. After collecting a fair number of stores I've deiced to pass my very valuable knowledge to you. Presenting my picks from the lists.

I will start with Someday New Yorker. Actually, Should I say more than those photos?! I think they speak for themselves. I mean come on! Pompons?! What can I ask for more? I think that everything I will say on those pieces will just mess this continuous happiness that comes with one glance at those pics. I mean the skirt's sides! And the shoulder of this shirt!! Ok I will shut my mouth (or my typing hands) right now. Just stare and enjoy.
I believe that leggings have the power to upgrade every piece. Really it works like a magic. For example take those Qoo Qoo Fashion leggings, I love it how the prints are like modern art on your leg. If you take the farthest right pic, these combination between those two, very different, kind of prints giving the piece a futuristic on the artistic (sounds so poetic) kind of look. Wearing those will insure an immediate upgrade.
I think this store name really reflect it substance. When I entered I Heart Norwegian Wood everything marched the first thought that came from reading its name. every garment transmitted nature vibe, if it with the soil colors that rules there, the simplicity of the cloths texture or just the use of natural materials in some of the pieces (like fathers). Feels pretty earthy...
Emily Ryan garments are not all like these three examples I brought you here. but those ones caught my attention due to the fact that they has the feeling of an everyday piece (maybe its because of the tricot fabric that have been used in every one of them) but get a twist with the finish that been done on them (the emphasizing of the edge lines and the pattern creation without add any other material, just the fabric that used you as the base for those pieces)
Geometric shapes in strong and bold colors are the safe recipe to captivate my heart. How lucky I am to find Ruffeo Hearts Lil'snotty (ha, I need a breathing brake, it's a one long name!) that provided the lust of my eyes.

On the accessories zone I reached to lots of stores. I picked mine top three, although it was pretty hard because I love them all (after all they all on my favorites). First it will be Tsuru Bride who bring the whild under your arm. Let's do some simulation, just close your eyes and imagine everything I'm going to write. Think of a standard on the boredom outfit, which means a white t with worn denim anddd flops (told you it's boring). You probably on your seventh dream because of all the boredom that float here for a second. But now think of all of it with these little creatures on the side, what an addition! Ha?!
I don't think that I need to add something on Maranon, I already said what I think about
colorful geometric shapes. Now instead of cloths it comes on earrings, necklaces and all their friends.
If you visit Yokoo store you will see that knit stuffs is THE THING over there. It has also huge beads necklaces brand t-shirts but main thing - wool, and lots of it! I think that the designer lead concept was to oversize everything she had on mind. Like if she thought "let's do scarf" she doubled (or if we judge by the photo-tripled) her thoughts, same for gigantic chain necklace and etc. for the record I will say that I don't have any problem with that at all! In fact I like it when the cloths are taking over me.
I think for one post it's more than enough (plus, i need some sleep. now). but remember, I mentioned here a very tiny part from this extraordinary site. If you feel like having some free time (yes, you need to reorganize your schedule for this thing) go online and start making your own list of favorite stores. But you must be aware, It's addictive (don't think it will be like "let's check for a sec what's new and continue on", na ah!) but still...

...HAVE FUN WHILE EXPLORING!

let the new year begin

I think that this weekend should be a sample of all the weekends in the New Year that just has started. Just having a good time with good friends! Don't think that my NYE celebration was some kind of an extravaganza, cause it wasn't. But still I had a great time. everything started when my friend told me that she won some tickets to a show of some Israeli band that her glory days were way back in the 90's but we didn't mind because we had a free tickets and who sais NO to free gifts ?! (Not us!). it was not long before we found ourselves in a dark club with a very deceptive name (the Barbie) that the average age there was a beat much more than ours (that if i will had to describe it somehow I will quote Gwyneth and say "top forties sweetcheeks"). But we don't let anything to mess our fun and although we haven't got familiar with most of the songs the finale was worth it all. And the encore (familiar songs combine with lots of confetti falling from the ceiling is all we need).

The day after we continue on with some fulfilling shopping or if I be more specific I would say window shopping, cause if you buy without having money I'm pretty sure it calls stilling which we don't. But although the money absence thing my credit card didn't disappoint me and I ended up purchasing a Rupa pacman pair of socks. Rupa patterns are so unique and creative that I can't stop myself from buying one (or three) pairs every time that new collection comes to stores. I already have three pairs of tights and two pairs of socks (not including new one). I think I'm addicted...

Wearing a jeans button shirt from my dad, belt from my grandma, jacket from my mom (Hallo family!), two tone tights from American Apparel, flats from Urban Outfitters and Rupa socks
Oh, and HNY guys!
